NZOIA SUGAR AND BAYER EAST AFRICAN TRAIN AGRICULTURE EMPLOYEES ON CHEMICAL USE

Agriculture Staff were taken through a training on chemical use and effective use of herbicides facilitated by Bayer East Africa on 15th August 2024 at the Company Training Centre.

The objective of the training was to ensure employees are protected from effects caused by work-related accidents while using their products. Safety training is especially important for organizations that use chemicals or other types of hazardous materials in their production chain.

Herbicides trained on included round up turbo, Sencor plus and a fungicide Confidor , they were trained on when and how to apply the chemicals and corrective measures in case of an accident.

 Employees who attended the training include staff from the Nucleaus Estate Section, Agronomy Section, regional Area Managers within Agriculture Department, each member confirmed to have benefited from the training and reiterated that indeed it will help them perform their roles effectively in addition to improving overall performance and increasing the organization’s ability to achieve its goals and targets.
