Nzoia Sugar FC looks up to bounce back to top tier football and return to its glory as the new NationalSuper League season is set to commence on 7th September 2024.
The Millers who were relegated from the top division last season, will be kicking off the new NSL season at home against Fortune Sacco at Sudi stadium on the opening weekend of the season.
Preparations for the new NSL season are slowly picking pace, with the Club’s interim Head Coach Charles Odera, joining from Muhoroni Youth FC taking charge of the recruitment process. Odera was called upon by the Football Club Committee to take charge on interim basis as the Coach Mr. Mike Mururi failed to report back to camp from recess.
Trial sessions meant to recruit new playing unit started on Friday 9th and will culminate on Friday 16th August 2024 at Sudi stadium. Those who will make it during the sessions will join the first team for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The NSL boasts 20 teams, each team playing a 38-match streak and travelling to different parts of the country, making it to be considered a tougher division that the top tier division of the country’s football federation.
