Officers from Kenya Defense Forces marked the National Tree planting day at Nzoia Sugar Company where they planted over 3000 trees at the Company Nucleus Estate farm on 10th May 2024.
The officers who have been camping at Nzoia Sugar Company ahead of Madaraka day celebrations joined environment officers from the Company’s Agriculture Department in the exercise in response to the National call to plant trees in honour of flood victims.
This initiative is also in line with the Kenyan Government’s plan to plant 15 billion trees by the year 2032 and curb climate change.
