PRESIDENT RUTO VISITS NZOIA SUGAR COMPANY

President William Ruto visited Nzoia Sugar Company on Monday 28th August 2023 in a bid to see the miller revive to its former glory.
Speaking during the visit, the President said the Government is determined to see Nzoia Sugar roar back to life, and will provide funds to aid in the cultivation of the Nucleus Estate and overhaul the company’s obsolete equipment.
The President further indicated that the Government will integrate a new Management model to ensure proper running of the miller, hence realize the profits it ought to.
He further said the Speaker of the National Assembly and MPs assured him they would approve the proposal by the Government to write off the 117 billion owed by sugar millers in the country.
The President was in the company of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Bungoma County Governor Kenneth Lusaka and a host of other local leaders.
