NZOIA SUGAR COMPANY SETS UP A HUDUMA TENT TO SERVE FARMERS

For a long time now, farmers visiting Nzoia Sugar Company have been forced to move from office to office seeking different services in groups.
Prompted by the need to make service delivery easily accessible, while making the farmer comfortable during the process, management decided to open a one stop center for farmers to access services and information under one roof.
Borrowing from the concept of Huduma Centre, farmer’s services were amalgamated within the Company under a tent next to the PR office where staff from the PR Department, Agriculture Department and OGL section served the farmers under one roof.
A high percentage of farmers visiting the tent have been inquiring about their cane payment status with most of them facing the challenge of lack of school fees.
This model is a one stop shop for farmers who have inquiries or wish to lodge complaints. This will help farmers to receive essential services at a one stop facility hence improve our service delivery.
