Management initiated employees’ engagement meetings held between 15th – 30th April, 2019 coordinated by the Public Relations and Human Resource departments.
The engagement brought together all departments to deliberate and identify the challenges facing each department and give the way forward.
The acting Managing Director Mr. Ignatius Wafula together with departmental heads opened the sessions on 15th April, 2019 at the Training Centre before key speakers took over the entire awareness period.
The engagement was also meant to create awareness among staff members and get views or suggestions on how best to improve Nzoia Sugar Company service provision to stakeholders.
Factory, Production, Agriculture, Agriculture Services, Human Resource and Finance department facilitated engagement by giving their status report to staff members.
Some of the recommendations by employees included: Develop adequate cane in nucleus estate and outgrowers regions, supply adequate fertilizer and weed the nucleus estate at the right time.
